Andries Visser, senior researcher of urban-rural relations

Andries Visser is a senior researcher of urban-rural relations at the Field Crops business unit. He is involved, among other things, in Farm of the Future, a project in which WUR is trying to develop a robust and sustainable agricultural system for future generations of farmers. An important part of such a system is sustainable energy. Andries is therefore also looking into the role of agriculture in the energy transition within the public-private partnership (PPS) Energy and Agriculture. Visser: "We hope that a number of the solutions we are working on within the PPS will soon be on display at the Farm of the Future.”
