So far, I’m in love with the City of Life Sciences (Wageningen). This is because of the internationally friendly community with over 100 nationalities. The practice-based approach and the everyday real-life problems we solve are why I cannot get enough of what I study. My goal is to create awareness and also practice the knowledge and potential benefits of nature in an urban environment. The Saturdays open market in the city centre is amazing. I blog because I don’t want you to miss out on the good things in WUR and I am hoping to see you this Autumn if you are not here yet ?.

Rabindra

I am Rabindra Ganapati V, studying Master’s in Food Safety. Coming from a busy Indian city filled with traffic, Wageningen was completely an unfamiliar environment for me. While it was difficult to adapt to the culture and academics at the start, thing got better with time. Once you get a hold of it, you would realise that you enjoy the quality education WUR provides. The calm nature and friendly people along with the green environment make it a wonderful place to stay.

The Saturday Markets, walk in the woods with your friends, cycling around the city, Rijn river visits on sunny days are some of the very good stress busters from our tight schedules. Last but not the least, the multicultural, International environment over here, makes the entire experience of living and studying in Wageningen enjoyable and insightful.

Frimpong

I am an easy-going introvert. I enjoy making real friends, reading, biking, and watching YouTube videos on wild nature and technological breakthroughs. My academic pursuit brings together Transportation Studies, Urban Planning and Environmental Science. Currently, I am following the Land Use Planning thesis track under the Master’s Urban Environmental Management at WUR. I have been living in Wageningen since September 2020 and my experience has been pleasant. Despite this, I sometimes miss some Ghanaian cuisines ?

Linda

I am Linda, and I come from Indonesia. My background is in Architecture. Currently, I study Land Use Planning under the Master’s Urban Environmental Management. I grew up in Borneo, an island that is well known for its biodiversity and tropical rainforests. Therefore, I am very keen to learn about environmental issues and sustainability in WUR. So far, it has been quite challenging to study during this pandemic, however; it is still very exciting to learn about the environment here in Wageningen.

See you soon

It was a warm introduction and we hope that knowing our team of bloggers has made your ambition of studying at Wageningen University & Research more certain.
