This blog is for when you start missing your furry friend a little more than usual.
Luckily, Wageningen is not a big city, so it allows you to see some animals quite often. It is always so calming but at the same time energising to see animals, and even give them a few pets if they allow, of course!:D
When the temperatures start rising a bit, head to Bennekom (currently writing this at a feeling temperature of -6 °C, brr). On the road to there, you’ll see the most adorable deer. If you are lucky enough, you might even catch them being fed by their owners, so they are close to the fence. I stumbled upon them very randomly one day, and ever since I visit them from time to time. Their cute noses put a smile on my face for the whole day.

Speaking of heart-warming animals, at the Rhine River, there are a lot of sheep and cows. Often, the cows are freely grazing at the river, even in the summer when students are gathered there for picnics. They are so unbothered haha, but let’s be honest, sometimes during the summer heat we all need a little swim and refreshment, right?

It was even yesterday when I went to the river for a walk and met a cow and a couple of sheep

As you know, the Netherlands is famous for its canals.
