After obtaining a Master’s in Environmental Biology at Nanjing University in China, Lan van Wageningen completed a Master’s in Agricultural Economics and Management in Wageningen. She obtained her PhD from Wageningen in 2008. She has worked at Wageningen Economic Research (formerly the LEI) since then. “As an economist I focus on risk and information management in agrifood, and I research how blockchain and related technologies can help us make systems more efficient, transparent and sustainable.”
