My name is Trond. I’m a team-oriented researcher at Wageningen Economic Research. With my background in public administration, I like doing desk research in order to be able to gain a better and broader understanding of what research infrastructures should look like in terms of governance. I’m currently working on innovative governance links involving data, methods, tools and services in the Richfields and Smart Food Intake projects. I’m also involved in the development of a larger European framework: a research infrastructure for nutrition and health. My use of both analytical and interactive tools is based on my conviction that involvement is key for understanding and improving policy and society. I regularly publish in various journals such as Land Use Policy (societal engagement), Ecosystem Services (governance of ecosystem services) and Frontiers in Marine Science (governance of Blue Growth). At present I’m working on completing my doctoral thesis on public innovation processes in the Netherlands.
