Are you still in doubt about applying to WUR?

By Maria

As you are here I am sure you heard about Wageningen University and probably you are considering whether you should apply or not. Once I had the same doubts so I can imagine there are many questions and important aspects that you want to know about before making the final decision. Luckily in this post, you will find useful links and information about options for recruitment activities that WUR organizes and you can join to get to know our cosy city and the atmosphere of the university!

See it in real life!

First of all and most likely the best way to experience WUR is to visit it during our open days. You will be able to explore on your own what the campus looks like and what the facilities are that students can use. The best part of it is the possibility of chatting with teachers and students. They will tell you everything needed to know about the study programme and answer all of your questions. Moreover, you will find details about the application and admission procedures.

So if you are a prospective bachelor’s student and have no plans for the 18th of March, I highly recommend joining our open day! For more information check this link – Bachelor open day

For Master’s prospective students, the open day will be on the 16th of march 5pm-9pm! Check it out on this link – Master’s open day

See it via your PC!

If you can not join our open days in person there will also be a great opportunity to do it online! On the 6th of April from 2pm to 8pm you will be able to experience our university from behind your computer, tablet or phone screen for all prospective bachelor’s and master’s students. There will be plenty of time to have a live chat with students and advisors who will tell you about programmes, studying and living here. Finally, there will also be an option to have a live tour around campus with international student guides.

Chat with our students!

Our university also has in its offers the possibility of chatting online with students. For this, the “Unibuddy” programme has been arranged. You can choose the person you want to talk to for example from the same country, studies that you are interested in or even both! The only thing you have to do is register on the platform and start chatting.

Become a student for a day!

Another great way to get to know the WUR experience is through a “walk-along” day with one of our students. You will be accompanied for a full day during lectures, classes and lunch breaks by which you can get a realistic impression of what daily life is like as a student. You can arrange it individually or for bachelor prospective students also in small groups.

More information about it if you are a master’s prospective student you can find on this website – Master’s walk along day.

For bachelor’s prospective students for an individual walk-along day go to this website – Bachelor’s individual walk-along day.
